The Tractor Guys are getting on astonishingly well!
They left Fearn this morning and travelled along the A9 where the were met by Willy Grieve on his tractor along with four others tractors (one of which was driven by Willy’s daughter).
The tractors made their way over the mountains towards Aberfeldy, stopping to admire a herd of deer on the moors along the way.
They made their way down some ‘pretty terrifying’ hills – but it was sunshine all the way and they enjoyed every minute.
When they reached Aberfeldy, Bish was particularly impressed by the memorial to the Black Watch Regiment which stands in front of General Wade's Bridge. It was unveiled in 1877 in honor of the Black Watch Regiment which was first established in Aberfeldy. The statue on the memorial shows a kilted soldier standing on a cairn.
By the end of the day they arrived at Willy’s house and had chance to admire his collection of vintage tractors.
That evening they had a BBQ hosted by Willy Grieve and the Aberfeldy Rotarians – there were over forty people there who all kindly donated to the cause!
