The Tractor Guys are doing well – averaging around 18 mph according to Neil at Topcon.

They had a heart stopping moment today when they had to descend a very steep hill – but all turned out well - they put the tractors into a lower gear, crept down very gingerly and didn’t need the pedals at all! (phew!)

Tonight they’re staying with Alan Wilson in Fearn – and being entertained by the Easter Ross Ploughing Association!

They set off from Pete & Helen’s this morning and drove the tractors for an hour to their starting point at John O’Groats.

It was 9.23am when their fund-raising journey officially began and The Tractor Guys were waved off by the local tractor society who’ve also kindly donated £100 to the cause.

They enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of Andrew and Jo McCae who cooked them a lovely roast lamb supper and gave them two bottles of malt whiskey!!

After much preparation The Tractor Guys have set off on their jaunt – and it sound as though they’re having a fabulous time already!

They left Market Drayton this morning with the tractors on low loaders and stayed in Scotland with Tone’s brother Pete and his wife Helen.

Needless to say they were given a fantastic welcome and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
