Last night Bish and Tones stayed with Bobby and Kate Douglas at Hacker Hall in Billington.
They set off early this morning and made good time travelling along the A49 through Preston, Wigan and Warrington. Tones had a few problems with his tractor this morning but by lunchtime – everything was chugging along nicely.
They stopped at The Cholmondeley Arms in Cheshire were they met a group of friends - amongst them Clarissa Dickson Wright who very kindly donated £100. But not only did she make a donation – she was great fun and very flattering about The Tractor Guys’ expedition!
They were met shortly after by a Roddy Swain on his steam engine and escorted to The Raven where they met up with family and friends.
Being back on Shropshire soil means that the Tractor Guys can enjoy a night in their own beds tonight!
The tractors are being kept at Rob Ellison’s farm in Tilstock until tomorrow morning when they’ll be off bright and early to Leominster!
The Tractor Guys would like to thank Patsy and Alan Chinnock who've been their support team up to this point. Your help has been absolutely fantastic!
