It’s been a very dramatic couple of days for The Tractor Guys!

After yesterday’s problems – the owner of the troublesome tractor, Neil Cooke, very kindly drove all the way from Market Drayton to Penrith with a spare fuel pump. He arrived late last night and stayed at the same farmhouse as the guys, owned by Jamie and Margery Fisher who are very lovely people.

The spare fuel pump was fitted by an expert – but unfortunately it still didn’t work!

The tractor was then taken to Carlisle where it was hoped it could be fixed… but in the meantime, the clock was ticking and valuable time was slipping by!

A decision had to be made and after a very kind offer from Jamie Fisher, Bish decided he would make the next leg of the journey on Jamie’s Ford 3000 tractor.

Jamie’s son set to work attaching the workboxes, the GPS and SatNav and it has to be said that the new tractor was an absolute joy to drive after Bish’s recent experiences.

By 1pm Neil called to say that the original tractor was working – but The Tractor Guys felt that it was too unreliable.

After a further very generous offer by Jamie Fisher, Bish is now going to continue the journey on Jamie’s Ford 3000.

After this Tones and Bish, made good time and arrived in Billington, just South of Clitheroe by 6pm.

The journey was relatively uneventful once they got going – the scenery was once again beautiful and they enjoyed the day – although the temperature had dropped quite significantly and now that both of the guys are in cab-less tractors – they had to wrap up well against the weather!
